Girl Gets First Birthday Party Thanks to Kind Officer

A Massachusetts mother thought she'd have to cancel her daughter's first birthday party when she got to the checkout line and realized her wallet had been stolen.
"My knees nearly buckled," mother Shannah Shea said.
Shannah Shea never recovered the $300 that was stolen, but the responding officer to the scene, who wanted to remain anonymous, paid for everything in the young mother's cart, which tallied to about 75 bucks.
"A store clerk spilled the beans," the WBZ-TV reporter said.
"I just lost it, I cried," Shea said.
Shannah's little Aubrey was able to celebrate in style for her first birthday party, which Shannah says did end up happening.
"He's a real standup person. He deservers the name police officer," Shea said in a WFXT video.
The officer did tell Shannah he was expecting his first baby in a few weeks -- so a first-time dad helping out a first-time birthday celebration.
